Bio

I trained in theater arts at Oklahoma Christian University. I’ve used my dramatic abilities in the church. I served as the Drama Minister at the Dallas church my husband pastored for nine years. My responsibilities included directing all technical support used in the worship assembly as well as writing, directing, and producing all of the drama, music, and videos used to enhance the message.

Now, I teach private acting lessons as well as stage presence and body language seminars Slaving over a laptopto worship teams, pastors, and public speakers. Over the years, I’ve written, produced, and directed countless worship sketches, plus two full-length musicals for the Christmas and Easter holidays. With 18 years of experience writing children’s skits and directing kids in a competitive drama program called Leadership Training for Christ, I’d have to say helping young people succeed is one of my first loves. Recently, two of my young acting students signed with a major acting agency in Hollywood, another one made it several rounds in American Idol, and another just signed with a Broadway agent.

I love to inspire others and one way I do this is by speaking at retreats and conferences. I’ve acted in a training video for Southwest Airlines and recorded books on tape for the local school district. Currently, I perform monologues from my original works, The Reinvention of Leona Harper, and Darla Ann, the Queen of Cuisine.

Considered the Susan Lucci of Genesis, I’ve finaled for the past three years in ACFW’s writing contest. I’ve just recently sold my first novel to Tyndale House Publishers.

If someone asked me what I consider my greatest accomplishment, I’d have to say a happy marriage and raising two of the best kids in the world.
